Nestled below a rocky outcrop, on the shoreline in Shaldon with plenty of green space outside – The Ness House sits on the South West Coast Path, just a short walk from the beach.

We’re a dog-friendly pub – on the doorstep of the Labrador Bay Nature Reserve and the popular Shaldon Wildlife Trust – and within easy reach of Teignmouth, Newton Abbott and Dartmoor.

A380

Follow the A380 and take the exit for the A381 signposted to Teignmouth.  At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Teignmouth Road (A381), follow this road for roughly 3.5 miles and at the traffic lights take a sharp right onto the A379.  Follow the A379 for 1 mile and then turn left onto Ness Drive, signposted to the Ness and Shaldon Zoo. You find the Ness on the right at the end of the road.

You can also take the B3192 from the A380 signposted to Teignmouth.  If you are following a sat nav and take this route make sure you stay on the B3192, don’t turn off if the sat nav tells you to.  At the end of the B3192 at the traffic lights turn right on to Bitton Park Road (at the traffic lights take a glimpse across the water … yes, that’s us!!), after roughly 0.5 miles at the traffic lights turn left onto the A379, follow the A379 for 1 mile and then turn left onto Ness Drive, signposted to the Ness and Shaldon Zoo.  You find the Ness on the right at the end of the road.

Teignmouth Train Station

From the train station you can either catch a cab which will be about a 2 mile journey.  Alternatively if you fancy a walk head through the town and jump on the Teignmouth – Shaldon passenger ferry.  Once in Shaldon follow Marine Parade up to the Ness.

Parking

Unfortunately we only have parking for hotel guests on a first come, first served basis and have one disabled parking space.  There is a large long stay public car park just up the road on the opposite side from us.
